Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
These Terms of Service explain the rules for using LocalLine. By creating an account, purchasing a number, or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are
LocalLine is operated by Insight Tracking, AS, located at Oslo, Norway. You can contact us at privacy@getlocalline.com.
2. What LocalLine provides
LocalLine provides virtual phone number and call forwarding services. Depending on availability and local rules, users may be able to purchase supported phone numbers and forward incoming calls to another phone number they control.
Service availability may vary by country, number type, regulations, carrier rules, and technical limitations. Not all features may be available in all locations.
3. Eligibility and account registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account or buying a number. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
You may only use LocalLine if you are legally allowed to enter into a binding contract under the laws that apply to you.
4. Number availability and verification
Phone numbers are subject to availability and may not always be available in every area or country. Some numbers may require identity, address, or business verification before activation due to telecom or legal requirements.
We may refuse, delay, suspend, or cancel a number request if required information is missing, inaccurate, or does not meet applicable rules.
5. Pricing and billing
LocalLine offers subscription plans that may be billed monthly or yearly. By starting a paid plan, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your selected payment method for the fees, taxes, and any other charges clearly disclosed before checkout.
Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled.
Some features or usage may involve additional charges if clearly disclosed before you incur them.
6. Cancellation, renewals, and refunds
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account.
When you cancel, your number and service remain active until the end of your current paid billing period, and your plan will not renew after that.
We do not provide refunds for unused time on monthly or yearly plans, except where required by law.
7. Failed payments
If a payment fails, we may retry the charge, ask you to update your payment method, suspend access to paid features, or release your number if payment is not completed in time. You remain responsible for amounts owed for services already provided.
8. Consumer rights and withdrawal
If you are a consumer in a location where mandatory consumer protection laws apply, you may have rights that cannot be excluded by these Terms.
If local law gives you a right to withdraw from an online service purchase within a certain period, that right will apply except where a lawful exception applies. If you ask us to begin providing the service immediately, you acknowledge that this may affect your withdrawal rights to the extent permitted by law.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to use LocalLine for unlawful, abusive, or harmful activity, including:
- Fraud, scams, impersonation, phishing, or deceptive conduct.
- Spam, robocalling, harassment, threats, or abusive communications.
- Violating telecom, privacy, consumer protection, or sanctions laws.
- Attempting to bypass verification, routing, billing, or security controls.
- Using the service in a way that interferes with our systems, providers, or other users.
We may investigate suspected misuse and suspend or terminate accounts to protect the service, our providers, other users, or the public.
10. Forwarding numbers and your responsibility
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use any forwarding number you add to your account. You are also responsible for ensuring that receiving forwarded calls to that number is lawful in your location and with your mobile or telecom provider.
11. Service limitations
LocalLine depends on third-party telecom networks, carriers, cloud infrastructure, and payment providers. Because of that, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect call quality, or availability at all times.
We are not responsible for missed calls, delayed calls, carrier outages, local network issues, service interruptions, or failures caused by third-party providers beyond our reasonable control.
12. No emergency calling
LocalLine is not a replacement for your primary mobile or landline service and should not be relied on for emergency calling. Do not use LocalLine as your sole means of contacting emergency services.
13. Intellectual property
The LocalLine website, branding, software, design, text, graphics, and related content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with these Terms.
14. Privacy
Your use of LocalLine is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share personal data.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to LocalLine if you violate these Terms, fail to pay fees when due, provide false information, create legal or security risk, or if we are required to do so by law, a regulator, or a provider.
We may also discontinue a feature, number type, or service offering if necessary for business, legal, or technical reasons.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LocalLine is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every specific purpose.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LocalLine and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, or opportunities arising from or related to your use of the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to LocalLine in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
18. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LocalLine and its affiliates, officers, employees, and suppliers from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law or the rights of another person.
19. Changes to the service or these Terms
We may update the service and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice.
20. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your place of residence require otherwise.
21. Disputes
If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first at privacy@getlocalline.com so we can try to resolve it informally.
Any formal dispute will be handled in the courts located in Norway, unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
